DIY Turmeric, Green Tea and Almond Face Mask

I love making this mask when my skin is feeling a little lack-lustre, dull and tired. A fresh, restorative, invigorating mask which is great for when you need a skin pick-me-up.  It's so easy to make lovely, natural and surprisingly effective skincare with things you probably already have in your kitchen.

Despite being all natural recipes and ingredients, if any irritation occurs rinse off immediately and always avoid contact with eyes.

Why These Ingredients?

Turmeric - Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory. Turmeric can add glow and lustre to the skin, as well as calming and soothing redness.

Green Tea - Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial. Green tea can help to minimise sebum production resulting in fewer, calmer breakouts. The gentle caffeine leaves skin feeling fresh and plump.

Ground Almond - Full of Vitamin E which softens and moisturises. It is an excellent, gentle exfoliant which buffs the skin.

How To Make Your Mask:

- Turmeric

- Green Tea - the insides of one teabag (approximately a teaspoon)

- Ground Almonds

- Flour

- Water

Same as above, mix into a small bowl or cup until a paste forms. Go easy on the turmeric (perhaps half a teaspoon) as I've heard rumours of it staining skin - although that's never happened to me and my turmeric amount is more on the generous side!

Apply to your dry face, leave on for as long as you wish then rinse with warm water
